AGL Bremen has been approached by one of their customers to assist in various local port operations in Hamburg. The cargo consisted of 4 huge steel structures as mentioned below which will be part of a new bridge, to be built in Hamburg port area. Due to the specific cargo conditions of length, width and weight, we needed to unload to the barge as close to site as possible, as trucking over longer distances was impossible.
The solution was then finally to handle the units at HHLA Container Terminal, via the container bridges onto SPMT trailers which covered the last meters to site. The operation went very smooth and without any issues as shown on the pictures.
Cargo details:
4 x Steel Structures
Each approx. 2400x 730 x 220 cms / each 65 tons.
