Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) has successfully completed a major international transport project, moving cargo from East Germany to Montreal, Canada. The shipment, equating to 1,330 cubic meters (CBM), showcased the company's expertise in managing oversized and heavy cargo with precision and efficiency.

This complex transport project involved diverse cargo types, including two major pieces, each weighing 43 tons—one measuring 640 x 630 x 160 cm and the other 1600 x 270 x 230 cm. Additionally, there were three smaller breakbulk items: a 7-ton piece (1340 x 225 x 140 cm), a 5.1-ton piece (1200 x 225 x 250 cm), and an 8.3-ton piece (1300 x 280 x 220 cm). The project’s scope extended beyond these specialized items to include 20 trucks carrying general cargo.

To manage this complex transportation, a total of 25 truckloads were utilized. All cargo was delivered directly by road to Bremerhaven (Germany), except for the largest piece (640 x 630 x 160 cm, 43 tons). Due to its unusual dimensions, this piece required special handling and could not be transported directly to Bremerhaven by road. Instead, a combined transport method was employed using inland waterway vessels and road transport.

At the Port of Bremerhaven, the cargo underwent a sophisticated loading process. The majority of the shipment was distributed across 19 x 40’ flat racks and 2 x 40’ open-top containers. Five exceptionally large pieces required special handling and were shipped as breakbulk cargo on container vessels.

The project’s preparation phase was equally intensive, spanning over eight weeks. This period included obtaining necessary permits, conducting thorough site inspections, and developing comprehensive transport strategies to ensure smooth operations across international borders .

The successful completion of this project adds to AGL's track record in managing complex logistics operations. The company's ability to handle such challenging cargo movements while coordinating multiple transport methods reinforces its position in the global logistics sector.
