Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) was tasked with shipping two steel coils measuring 1,415 x 1,415 x 1,811 meters and weighing 27.7 tons each.

This cargo was delivered to Shanghai from Hamburg. The volatile nature of the shipping industry, which included a lack of shipping options and log run times, made the task impossible.

The China office and the Global HQ combined forces and decided to distribute the load using a wooden sledge. The coils were then separated and shipped in two different 20’ dry van containers. This ingenious solution guaranteed customer satisfaction.
