Our offices in Germany and Russia are proud to report the challenging move of specialty equipment to Russia for one of the world’s leading mining equipment manufacturer.
A total of 1.000 tonnes of special equipment were first moved to the Russi an Pacific port of Vladivostok. After customs clearance, the se goods are then stored until November 2016. This storage is necessary because the destination is not reachable by normal roads. Thus we have to wait till winter for one of Russia’s Far East rivers to be completely frozen so that we can cross the river by truck. In this remote area there are no bridges spanning the river that would allow crossing during the summer months. Due to the lack of usable roads in the Yakutia Province, AGL also performed surveying to map a usable runway to get the job done.
This is another inspiring example of true logistics under extreme circum stances and collaboration across borders.
