The Skid has the following dimensions:

The height of 515 cm together with low bed height made this movement a real challenge.

Due to the actual inland waterway water level there was no option to move by barge so the planning for a direct road transport started immediately. After 4 weeks of planning incl. several meetings and phone conferences with involved companies like railroad, telephone and energy companies the transport was ready to start. Only 3 days later the last minute notice, that local road works would begin and would make any transport impossible for a duration of 8 weeks, came in.

Especially the choosen trucking company performed very well and handled the transport within 3 nights without any issues en route. The cargo left Poland by Ferry MV STENA Forerunner as planned.
