WE ARE HIRING FOR OUR HEAD OFFICE IN BREMEN: BDM Business Development Manager for Imports (m/f/d)

Alexander Logistics specializes in logistics solutions for the pulp & paper industry. Another key business focus is project logistics. Sea freight, Eurasian rail transport, and air freight—as an IATA-certified agent—are our main transportation methods through which we offer customized solution concepts for global imports and exports.

YOUR TASKS

  • Support of existing customers in the area of imports (paper, pulp & wood)
  • Expansion of business with current key accounts
  • Identification of potential customers & active generation of new business, with a focus on sea freight imports – paper, pulp & wood
  • Identification of customer needs, presentation of solutions, handling objections, and closing deals
  • Development of an effective sales strategy and active monitoring of the market and competition
  • Reporting of sales activities through careful maintenance of the CRM system and documentation of results
  • Commercial tasks
  • Tender management & handling of new tenders
  • Targeted (strategic), regular in-person visits to (potential) clients
  • Participation in events and trade fairs (Barcelona, Milan, London Pulp Week, PPI)
  • Maintaining contact with service providers (warehouses, shipping lines)
  • AGL Import Representative

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have successfully completed vocational training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or possess a comparable qualification
  • You have several years of professional experience in import logistics (paper, pulp & wood)
  • You enjoy sales and have experience in acquiring business clients
  • You are fluent in English and capable of negotiating confidently
  • You are proficient in using common MS Office applications
  • You are goal-oriented, motivated, communicative, and able to handle stressful situations professionally
  • You are highly organized
  • You have a high willingness to travel
