AGL offers services from all European Ports as well as dedicated warehouses for pulp and paper around Europe. Now AGL has taken its expertise outside Europe by signing a cooperation agreement with Qingdao Port International Freight & Logistics Co. Ltd. in Qingdao, China.

The port of Qingdao handles more than 5.2 Mio. tons of pulp and paper annually of which 2.6 million tons are break bulk. Qingdao is one of the biggest pulp handling ports in China, whereas many other ports over China receive containers only or are based much further south. Qingdao is also able to receive the biggest break bulk vessels at their berth. As a result, consignees in Northern China are much more efficiently served through Qingdao instead of Changshu, which is a river port with restricted draft for vessels. With the agreement reached, AGL will be able to offer bonded and nonbonded warehouses throughout the facilities in the port. The goal is to provide these services to all suppliers around the world.

AGL furthermore offers on-carriage by truck, barge or coaster to any destination in China. In addition, the port of Qingdao is ideally situated for transhipment to other Asian countries. These shipments are offered by container or break bulk service. All logistical services are offered at highly competitive rates. Direct EDI connections are preferred as they offer quick and efficient data transfer.AGL’s team of highly experienced staff in Qingdao has been trained to the specifics of pulp and paper handling. As well as the basics on inventory control and documentation, AGL’s service includes surveying (Quality Control) once cargo is discharged from vessel or stripped from container into warehouse. This is a crucial service that guarantees suppliers that their cargo arrives in undamaged conditions, avoiding claims from consignees. In case of damages found, suppliers could claim back compensation from carriers. AGL invites all interested customers to inspect the facilities and to discuss special needs on local or on forwarding services required.
