We´re thrilled to present an amazing transport of a 90-ton transformer.

In early 2025, AGL successfully executed the transport of a 90-ton transformer from the Czech Republic to Germany, once again demonstrating our expertise in complex logistics and heavy haulage.

The transformer was delivered to a substation, where it will play an important role in supporting local power generation and energy supply. To handle the oversized cargo, we used a especially modular axes trailer with impressive length of 40m.

At the delivery site, AGL employed a push-and-rail system to precisely and safely position the transformer onto its foundation - ensuring efficient and secure installation.

A standout feature of this project was the innovative routing solution developed by the AGL team. Prior to the move, our experts carried out in-depth route analysis and conducted detailed inspections of all bridges and infrastructure along the planned path. These assessments were critical due to the size and weight of the cargo. Thanks to this thorough planning, AGL identified a safe, direct road route—eliminating the need for multimodal handling. This direct road transport approach not only saved valuable time but also reduced the number of steps to handle, significantly minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring a smooth, secure delivery.

The project required precise planning and coordination across regional borders, with AGL managing every aspect - from transport logistics to heavy lifting - resulting in a streamlined and reliable process.
