AGL Bremen recently completed another project with special requirements successfully without any incidents.

The cargo consisted of the following units:
2 x Engines / each 780 x 320 x 415 / each 82 tons
3 x 40’HC of accessories
2 x 40’FR of accessories

AGL Bremen collected the engines together with Project Logistics Alliance partner Bohnet in Augsburg, and moved them via truck and barge towards the POL Hamburg. The engines were taken over in Hamburg by a floating crane directly ex barge onto the ocean vessel “COSCO Harmony”, which was destined for Hongkong. The accessories were loaded as per usual in Hamburg as FCL cargo in the carriers equipment. After arrival in Hongkong Port, the cargo was discharged by floating crane into a waiting barge for the final leg to Huangpu Old Port. The final place of delivery was a private jetty located in Huangpu Old Port, China.

After significant thought, the AGL Bremen team chose the route via Hongkong to Huangpu Old Port for the following reasons. First of all, there is a significant advantage as to shorter transit time of FCL vessel compared to Break Bulk vessel. Secondly, Huangpu Old Port has special rules for direct calls of break bulk vessels. Therefore, going via Hongkong and completing the last leg via barge was the most efficient way.

The AGL Bremen team are happy to say that all went well, and would like to extend thanks to all parties involved!
