AGL Bremen has just executed a heavy haulage project from Volgodonsk, Russia to Temirtau in Kazakhstan. The order was given to AGL Bremen by one if the world leading suppliers for Steel Mill equipment.
After intensive checking of several routes and options AGL has awarded PLA Partner GoodRich CIS for operational handling of the several truck loads. Coordination and Project Management was done by AGL’s Headoffice in Bremen.
Cargo consisted of following items:
2 Units / each 1225 x 480 x 485cm / 49 tons each
2 Units / each 690 x 480 x 465cm / 28 tons each
3 Units / each 1200 x 475 x 435cm / 27 tons each
Especially the items with a height of 485 cms forced AGL to check the exact routing and all obstacles from loading place to discharging location. Although it was not needed to pass any huge cities also smaller bridges as well as power lines, signal lamps etc had to be passed.
After a journey of about 6-7 days all cargo was delivered to final destination and further erecting of the new steel mill in Temirtau can go on…
